An active club life is especially invaluable for our youngest members: The STK creates opportunities for physical activity, social interaction, and sharing in successes and setbacks—experiences that help children grow.

Serving on the Board of Directors
The board shapes the future of the club—from sports and finances to community involvement. Those who serve on the board contribute their own ideas and strategies and get to know many interesting people.
What to Expect
As Chief Financial Officer, you’re part of the department’s executive board and oversee our finances. You enter our invoices into the Webling tool and monitor incoming and outgoing payments. Once a year, things get a bit busier—that’s when you work with the executive board to prepare the annual financial statements and plan for the following year.
Main Responsibilities & Goals
- Preparation of the Budget
- Preparation of the financial report for the Members' and Delegates' Meeting
- As treasurer, take all necessary steps to achieve the board’s goals—in particular, take full advantage of tax benefits and potential tax reliefs
Powers & Reports
- Authorized to sign on behalf of the department for its own affairs and for the association's accounts
- Keeps the Executive Board informed about departmental matters
- Prepare a cash flow statement every three months and review the projected figures
- In the event of a need for representation, the Executive Board will act as a substitute
What to Expect
As the youth coordinator, you’re part of the club’s executive board and coordinate all matters related to the needs of the youth program for children under 12. An important part of the role is supporting parents, many of whom are new to the sport of hockey. You’ll also organize two events for preschoolers and school-age children to raise awareness of the STK in the local community.
Main Responsibilities & Goals
- Coordinating youth programs and coaches for younger children—including planning game days and schedules
- Inclusive Parent Engagement: Incorporating Children’s and Parents’ Questions and Requests into the Organization
- Planning and assisting with two children's events
- Personal Development
Planning & Celebrations
- Assistance with joint activities involving the children's teams and their parents
- Organizing and helping to plan celebrations (Christmas parties, Carnival parties, children's and teen discos)
Powers & Reports
- Supports youth and youth sports coaches as well as training operations
- Makes decisions together with the board—with the support of a youth committee, if necessary
- Manages its own youth budget
- Keeps the Executive Board informed about departmental matters
What to Expect
As the sports director, you are a member of the department’s executive board and coordinate general sports-related matters. You maintain close communication with the women’s and men’s teams and their coaches. Together with the youth director, you support the development of the coaches and prepare for the seasons in collaboration with the executive board.
Main Responsibilities & Goals
- Coordinating all aspects of sports planning, with a particular focus on supporting the coaches and their work
- Assistance with coach and training planning, as well as mentoring and onboarding new coaches
Ongoing & Planning Tasks
- Continuous improvement of coach training—both in athletic skills and communication skills
- Assistance with planning and, if necessary, conducting the trainer training program
- Support for training planning indoors and on the field
Powers & Reports
- Makes decisions together with the board of directors
- Keeps the Executive Board informed about departmental matters
